Zusammenfassung

Nachverfolgungssysteme spielen eine immer größere Rolle im Management interner und externen Erwartungen in globalen Lieferketten. Gleichzeitig steigt die Komplexität dieser Aufgabe durch komplexere und dynamischere Lieferketten. Vor diesem Hintergrund attestieren viele wissenschaftliche Publikationen Blockchain Technologie (BCT) großes Potenzial bei der Umsetzung dezentralen Nachverfolgungssystemen in globalen Lieferketten. In der praktischen Umsetzung zeigen sich allerdings kaum erfolgreiche Anwendungen. Dieser Beitrag arbeitet auf Basis von Experteninterviews Gründe für dieses Situation, in Form von Herausforderungen und Erfolgsfaktoren von Blockchain Systemen in globalen Lieferketten, heraus.

Abstract

Traceability systems are playing an increasingly important role in managing internal and external expectations in global supply chains. At the same time, the complexity of this task is increasing due to more complex and dynamic supply chains. Against this backdrop, many scientific publications attest to the great potential of blockchain technology (BCT) in implementing decentralized tracking systems in global supply chains. However, there are hardly any successful solutions in practical implementation. Based on expert interviews, this article works out the reasons for this situation in the form of challenges and success factors of blockchain systems in global supply chains.
